Project Overview

Shaw Brothers Construction was awarded the site work portion of the reconstruction of the existing Lincoln Mill. Due to the proximity of the mill to the tightly knit surrounding buildings, scheduling of the various trades proved a logistical challenge. In addition, existing field conditions required the use of hydraulic hammers in almost all areas of excavation in order to remove the large amount of ledge from which the site sat on. Construction activities included bringing in all new utilities from the street, installing modular block retaining walls, new parking areas, brick paver plazas, granite curbing, ornamental fencing, landscaping and a playground area. With an already compressed schedule and aggressive completion date crews successfully worked very efficiently to complete the project on time with the added difficulty of the high ledge.
