With a large and varied fleet of late-model equipment and experienced operators ready to go 24/7, Shaw Brothers is equipped to mobilize instantly in response to most any natural or man-made emergency. Our key staff are on call 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Emergency response capabilities include waterline breaks, sink holes, storm and flood damage, fires, roadway and building collapses, and widespread power outages. Specialized equipment for emergency response includes solar-powered information boards, power generators, road-closure barricades, water pumps in various sizes, portable light towers, and compressors.

Over the years, we’ve supported the Maine Emergency Management Agency, Portland Water District, Central Maine Power, Sappi, Poland Spring, and Maine DOT. We are also on the emergency response call list for numerous southern Maine cities and towns.

Our newly built headquarters facility was designed to operate during natural disasters and provide shelter if necessary. We have a large capacity of underground fuel storage, backup phone lines, a radio tower, and a backup generator able to power the entire facility. There is excess space with ample toilets, showers, stoves, and refrigerators to provide a comfortable living area for our team if ever needed.
