Paving Crew
Shaw Brothers Construction, Inc., one of Southern Maine’s most prominent paving contractors, is now hiring for the 2026 Season. Work will start in early April. Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Paver Operator

Qualifications
- 3+ years of paving experience.

Heavy Equipment Operators
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and graders.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient
- Follow instructions from supervisors
- Follow safety protocols at all times
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Communicate effectively with other team members
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience operating heavy equipment
- Proven ability to operate equipment
- Strong understanding of safety protocols
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background

Apprentice - Construction Craft Laborer
Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials. May assist other craft workers.
