Construction Laborer
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks on construction sites, such as digging trenches, loading and unloading materials, and assisting with the operation of heavy equipment.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team in the paving industry. The ideal candidate will have a NETTCP certification for the plant or field and be responsible for ensuring that our products meet quality standards.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Conduct tests on asphalt mixtures and aggregates.
- Monitor production processes.
- Provide recommendations to production teams.
- Maintain accurate records of testing results.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration.
- Provide training to production teams.
Qualifications
- NETTCP certification for plant/field, perffered.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently or with a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of paving industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with testing equipment.

Apprentice - Construction Craft Laborer
Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials. May assist other craft workers.

Asphalt Plant Operator
Shaw Brothers Construction is seeking a reliable and experienced Asphalt Plant Operator to join our team in Gorham, Maine. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our asphalt plant to ensure consistent production and quality materials for our paving crews. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working long shifts in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Schedule 10 to 12 hour shifts
- Operate and monitor asphalt plant equipment
- Perform routine maintenance
- Load and unload materials as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with team members
Qualifications
- Prior experience perferred but willing to train.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work extended hours, including early
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions
