Shaw Brothers Family Foundation Established

Jon and Dan Shaw have created a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Private Foundation called the Shaw Brothers Family Foundation.  This Foundation was setup to share the success of Shaw Brothers Construction by giving back to the community.  The foundation will be used to (1) support recreational, agricultural or other charitable causes, (2) acquire and preserve farmland in the Town of Gorham and construct and maintain a community recreational park and trails for walking, riding, and snowmobiling, and (3) to operate an educational farm and provide land for a future farm market to sell local foods.  The Foundation’s vision is quickly coming to fruition through the purchase of a 256 acre parcel of land on Route 25 in Gorham.  A large part of this parcel has been cleared for hayfields and currently trails are being constructed.  This development should be an enormous benefit to the Town of Gorham, its citizens, and the surrounding communities.
