Shaw Brothers Moves into New Headquarters

As finishing touches are put into place, Shaw Brothers Construction Inc. moves into its new headquarters.
“It’s a spectacular facility,” Tom Ellsworth, director of Gorham Economic Development Corp., said. “We couldn’t be happier. We’re proud of the project, and we’re proud of Shaw Brothers.”
The 125-acre Gorham site includes a two-story 48,500-square-foot building for the home office and repair and maintenance shops, a 25,200-square-foot equipment warehouse, and storage for 65,000 gallons of gasoline and diesel to fuel its fleet of trucks and heavy equipment. The buildings are heated with waste oil and will use a propane backup system and a standby generator to power the entire facility during outages, allowing Shaw Brothers to respond with full force in any emergency. This is Shaw Brothers’ third new headquarters since Danny and Jon Shaw founded the company in 1977.
